Salesforce 101

Getting you up to speed quickly

What is Salesforce 101?

Many clients we work with are using Salesforce for the first time, or have not used the system in a few years. Salesforce is an immense platform with many different capabilities, but for new teams, we want to make it simple and easy.

What Does Salesforce 101 Cover?

In Salesforce 101 we will cover the standard use of the system, and translate those functions into your specific needs as a buisiness.

  1. Applications, List Views, Record Pages, and movement through the system.
  2. Standard Objects, and their uses: Accounts = Companies, Contacts = People, etc.
  3. Activity Logging, and Tracking
  4. Lead Management
  5. Opportunity Forcasting, Products, and Quoting.

How Long is Salesforce 101?

We have found most teams absorb the information within a single 1 hour call. If needed we can have more calls to dig into specifics. We also will provide links to specific trails on Salesforce's free training website based on the specific needs of each client. https://trailhead.salesforce.com

Build Demo Training

Feedback and Iterative Growth

Throughout the building phases of each project there are cycles of new items being built and demoed. We want to train the Stakeholders ( in charge of making decisions ) on the custom build on the platform. By having these tiny training sessions on the weekly calls, everyone is able to stay aligned on what is being built, and how it functions with the other parts of the platform. By the time we get to go-live, not only are these stakeholders capable of using the system, but have been able to articulate feedback on the functionality of these items.

Deep Training

How We Drive Successful Adoption

What is Deep Training?

Salesforce is valuable because it is a full stack development capable platform. The goal is to configure automation, integration with other software, AI tools, and Portals to drive value for your company. This added configuration adds more need for training on how to use these customized tools. This is where deep training becomes important.

Deep Training: Train the Trainer

While every company is different, almost every company we have worked with has had a few individuals who were interested in being a superuser in their new Salesforce platform. These super users are often:

  1. More interested in learning how everything works, and what makes it tick
  2. Faster at adopting new technology
  3. Have prior experience using the Salesforce platform.

We recommend more extensive training for these individuals. There are 2 benefits of training the trainer.

  • 1. The trainers are able to help the rest of the team if any of them need help outside of our training calls.
  • 2. The trainers are better able to describe new features, or configuration changes the rest of the team might need.

Deep Training: Train the Trainee

Once a project phase is ready for go-live, and we begin adoption we recommend having our "Train the Trainee" calls. These calls can be segmented in many different ways. Depending on the size and individual needs of each company, different teams can be grouped and have separate training calls, or all join the same calls.

The agenda for these calls is to go over everything each Salesforce User will need to perform their functions through the platform. Depending on the size and needs of each company, this could be one call, or many calls. It is rare for it to take more than 2 calls per team.
